Brittney was drawn to the field of cosmetology when looking for a career that could embrace her creativity, outgoing personality and personal drive. In 2007, she attended Cosmetology Careers Unlimited and got the opportunity to learn Vidal Sassoon haircutting techniques from Sally Rogerson when she visited the school. Brittney enjoys the artistic freedom of being a stylist. Designing a look specific to each client while building a lasting relationship is cornerstone to her success. Creating a natural looking color, or formulating bold reds is a passion of Brittney’s. She loves transforming haircuts whether it’s long layers or a timeless bob.
In 2013 Brittney and her husband, Donny, welcomed their first child, Oscar, and she became more concerned about what was in our haircare products. Shortly after his birth she started working at the Art of Hair on London, a clean air organic salon. Working in an organic salon helped her learn about more Earth friendly color lines that were also better for our bodies.
Amanda’s passion for the art of hair styling began with her Barbie dolls – cutting, coloring, and braiding their hair. She babysat for a couple that owned a local salon as a teenager and they inspired her to embrace her creativity and pursue a career in cosmetology. She graduated from Cosmetology Careers Unlimited in 2006, taking her first salon job at 19 years old. What she loves most about her job is being able to express herself artistically while helping others feel good about themselves. She has a talent for short razor cuts and color, but can tackle anything from long layers, to natural looking highlights, to a bright green mohawk with precision and confidence. Amanda is excited to be a part of the Art of Hair, and to be using organic and non toxic products.
